The Perkins have been part of the SMCOC for 12 years. Jim started in the singles ministry and Karla was part of the campus ministry at UC Davis. Jim and Karla were married in December of 1996. They currently reside in Roseville Ca. and have 3 children. Kristina, age 10, is their miracle child. Kristina was born a preemie at 1 lb 14 oz.
  Today she is active, loving  and responsible. Kristina enjoys girls scouts, soccer and snowboarding. Kenny, age 6, is a answered prayer for Jim and Karla. They prayed for a healthy boy, He is energetic and compassionate. He enjoys cub scouts, swimming and snowboarding. Jessica, age 4, is their baby. She has a big heart and easy to make friends with. Jessica is starting kindergarten this year. Jessica enjoys dressing up and being a princess. Jim is a truck driver and drives a route to lake Tahoe/Reno area everyday. Jim enjoys road cycling on the weekends with friends and has participated in many century (100 mi) bike rides. Karla is a stay at home mom and is currently taking classes towards a nursing degree. Karla enjoys reading, and hopes to run a marathon before age 40, and is the kids biggest cheerleader at all their activities.
   The Perkins are so thankful to God for their family. They feel truly blessed with the blessing they have. They hope to continue to be actively involved in the community through their scouting events and their church family group. They love the church and have built many close friends and family. They look forward to going through the journey of life with God leading the way and with their family and friends by their sides.
