OUR COMMUNITY
MLK Day at the Firehouse
HOPE worldwide Sacramento Chapter

HOPE worldwide Sacramento is organized and coordinated by seven dedicated volunteers leading our congregation to serve in the community and contribute to needs both locally and globally. HOPE worldwide is inspired by the example of service that was set for us by Jesus Christ. We strive to instill his message of hope, compassion and love through genuine acts of service to the community and developing countries. Our goal is to give people in need genuine help as well as seeing ourselves grow to become more compassionate, Christ-like individuals.

HOPE worldwide Sacramento is striving to bring hope and change lives in our community and the world.

HOPE worldwide on MLK Day Weekend 2010

          HOPE worldwide Summer Library Project
On January, 16 2010 our HOPE worldwide Chapter rallied the forces of 71 volunteers from our church, the Red Cross, Americorps, CERT, and a few Navy Cadets. We gathered at Sacramento Fire Departments Station 11 to receive training and then descended upon the South Land Park and Meadowview neighborhoods to distribute vital fire and disaster preparedness info.     Summer 2010 HOPE volunteers renovated one of the meeting rooms in the church office to house a library open to church members and visitors Sunday mornings. A large collection of books and other resources are available for loan.
