Children's Ministry

We are proud of our Children's Ministry here in the Sacramento Metro Church of Christ.  We currently serve children from the ages of 6 months through middle school. Our classes are divided as follows:

6 months – 2 years old; 3-4 year olds; kindergarten-2nd grade; 3rd-4th grade and 5th-8th grade.  Each class has a specified teacher to student ratio in order to best meet each age level.

We interview each prospective teacher personally and follow up with a background check through the Department of Justice to ensure that our children will be safe and that our parents can feel secure in leaving their children in this ministry.  We have also begun a Teacher's Workshop to train, encourage and strengthen our teachers before they begin serving in this amazing ministry. 

This serves as a great time for spiritual teaching, answering questions, reviewing policies and sharing expertise with each other to ensure great classrooms.Our teachers are truly amazing, creative and caring, always remembering their goal of making learning about God fun and memorable for their students.  We have seen many children come for the first time and then beg their parents to return the following Sunday!  We have personally seen our own nieces start in this ministry and eventually make a personal decision to become baptized, committed disciples as teenagers. We are constantly looking for ways to improve this very important ministry in order to see more of our young adults love God and use His power to help change the world.
